You know when you’re in a zoom meeting and it’s awkward, and no one’s sharing their thoughts, and no one is having fun?

This usually means the team doesn’t know or trust each other so instead of trust falls and Fridays quizzes that add to people’s to do lists and aren’t very fun, what we do is embed collaborative processes in your teams day to day.

We’ve developed the Play State Peach framework based on academic research and management strategies to help you create the conditions in your organisation so it thrives (and also, you’ll have heaps of fun).

Imagine a world where the word play isn’t dirty

We look around the world of work and see people traumatised by work. This makes us sad because it doesn’t need to be this hard.

We believe that we can not only create workplaces where people are happier, but the products we create and the businesses we build are better.

We are super nerds for this stuff and are totally jazzed to play with work and work with play.

  • Georgina has built a career as a people and operations leader in growing technology companies, primarily in remote and distributed teams. She firmly believes that people feel good at work when they do good work, and build great relationships. G’s fascination with people grew when she studied a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in sociology and psychology. 

  • Stefan is a clown, teacher, facilitator, youth worker, actor, consultant and coach. Stefan is interested in the science of how people learn most effectively and is passionate about exploring the psychology behind creating spaces where people can fully integrate knowledge and build trusting relationships in work and life. Stefan really likes academia. He has been known to refer to himself as an ‘academic weirdo’. He holds a Bachelor of Performing Arts, Bachelor of Dramatic Arts, Graduate Diploma of Education and a Masters Degree in Leadership and Management (Organisation Dynamics).

Our Story

Georgina was always fascinated by people, so she studied sociology and psychology. She loved to throw parties and see people hanging out and discovering things together. This led her to become an awesome HR leader helping companies be productive, grow and be great places to work.

Stefan loves to help people feel good together, so he went off and studied theatre and became a clown. He loved seeing people change and grow. This led to teaching, youth work and facilitation. Then he discovered the academic discipline of Systems Psychodynamics (the study of human groups and how they are....weird and awesome).

One day, fate and COVID meant that these two weird little sausages got to work together in a high growth start up. They went on an adventure - experimenting with play and what it can do to supercharge a company’s productivity and make their workplace better-er. That
company grew from 15-120 people and engagement scores consistently stayed above 4.5/5 for 4 years. People wrote poems about how the process helped them recover from past work trauma and feel connected and safe enough to do their job in our organisation.

Now all they wanna do is share what they learned with you and help you make work better.

Everyone brings their whole self to work in their own way. Everyone is weird. We value difference and what makes you you.

Discomfort IS GOOD

Leadership is uncomfortable. Growth only happens when we confront something. Discomfort with safe boundaries can help us all work better together.
